Kathmandu. The Film Development Board (FDB) has released the box office report of Nepali movies. In the box office report released on Monday, the film ‘Gaunthali’ has done more than 13.5 crores in two weeks.
The film, which managed to do business of Rs 7.5 crore in the first week, has managed to collect Rs 13,64,46,535 in the second week. The film has been watched by 4,94,115 people during this period.
The film, which was released on July 1, is doing good business in the third week as well. The film is expected to earn more than 20 crores. Film lyricist and gynecologist Dr. Bhola Rijal’s son Dr. The film is directed by Kapil Rijal. With this, ‘Gaunthali’ has become the first highest-grossing film of this year. Earlier, the film ‘Lali Bazaar’ of ‘Jatra’ group was in the first place. It had a gross turnover of Rs 9.32 crore.
‘Gaunthali’, which had about 200 shows in the beginning, has now got more than 250 shows. Most of the shows have high viewership and business reports have been encouraging. On the first day, the occupancy in the hall was average, and in the subsequent days, the occupancy has increased to housefull.
The team of artists is still in the hall and listening to the audience’s reaction. Artists from the Kathmandu Valley are meeting the audience by reaching the halls of mofussil. The audience is praising the original film.
The movie stars Arun Chhetri, Simran Khadka, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Prakash Ghimire, Luniva Tuladhar, Rabindra Jha, Ishwori Baral, Sanjog Rasaili, Sitadevi Timilsina, Laxminath Timilsina and others.
Dr. The screenplay and dialogues of the film are based on the story of Bhola Rijal. Kapil Rijal, Nischal Kunwar, Niraj Nepal and Giriraj Ghimire have jointly prepared the book.
