Kathmandu. Chairman of the Labour and Culture Party, Harka Sampang, has given a fresh clarification on the controversial statement made by his party’s lawmaker Aarey Rai. He said that Rai had spoken inadvertently in the past and should be allowed to correct now.
Rai is a directly elected parliamentarian from the labour culture and has been playing an active role in the parliament. He was elected from Khotang-1. Before joining the Labor Culture Party, he was active in the extremist ethnic organization Mongol National Organization for 7 years. At that time, he has been criticized for his controversial statement that ‘cows should be slaughtered and eaten’.
Sampang had reached Janakpurdham with Dalwal in connection with the party’s entry program. Some unruly youths protested when he tried to visit the Janaki temple yesterday.
“Those who want to eat cows are not allowed to enter the Janaki temple,” he said. Later, while speaking at the party entry program, he made a reference to Aaron’s old statement.
