Pokhara’s Seti River blocked by landslides

Kathmandu. Pokhara—The Seti River in Pokhara has been blocked due to landslides triggered by incessant rains. Some parts of the river have been blocked due to the landslide triggered by the river eroding at the border of Pokhara metropolis-15 and 17.

A team comprising Chief District Officer Kuman Singh Gurung, District Police Office Kaski Chief SP Nabin Karki and Deputy Mayor of Pokhara Metropolitan City Manju Devi Gurung had reached the site for inspection on Sunday morning.

The water has not been completely drained out after the landslide blocked it. Deputy Mayor Gurung further informed that the water level in the upper part of the area has increased by some 50 metres.
