Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said rainfall is likely in most places of the country as the influence of monsoon has increased across the country. At present, monsoon low pressure trough is slightly above the normal place in the west and around the Tarai region of Nepal and around the average place in the east.
Now it is cloudy all over the country. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at one or two places of Karnali provinces.
According to the Division, the weather will be mostly cloudy throughout the country in the afternoon. Possibility remains for brief rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places of the mountainous, mountainous and terrific regions. There is a possibility of snowfall along with rainfall in the high mountainous region.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, light to moderate rain is likely to occur at some places of the hilly region of Koshi, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at one or two places of the Terai region of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. There are chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places of the hilly and terai regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Likewise, the weather will be generally cloudy throughout the country tonight. Moderate rain will occur in some places while light snowfall is predicted in high hilly and mountainous area. According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, there are chances of moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at many places of the hilly region of Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at a few places of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces.
Tonight, there are chances of heavy to very heavy rainfall at some places of the hilly region of Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at one or two places of hilly and Tarai of Madhes and Bagmati provinces. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted extremely heavy rainfall at one or two places of the hilly and terai regions of Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Meanwhile, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has urged the general public to adopt necessary precaution as the risk of flash flood, landslide, inundation, mudslide and mudslide flows and erosion will increase due to excessive rainfall.
