Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Kathmandu District Court Judge Churaman Khadka has said the court was committed to making the judiciary transparent, prompt and accountable to the people.
Speaking at an interaction program organized by the Kathmandu District Court here today, Justice Khadka said that direct communication with the media is relatively less as the court’s proceedings are made public through orders and verdicts.
“We are committed that the court should be transparent and prompt and justice should be dispensed with,” he said. Since our actions are made public through orders and verdicts, we rarely talk to journalists directly. ’
Saying the judiciary should be accountable to the people, he stressed that all the activities of the court should be run in a transparent and accessible way to the citizens.
Justice Khadka said that it was necessary to make service delivery more systematic, effective and as per the people’s expectation through the effective use of modern technology despite limited resources.
He said, “All our works should be done in a transparent and accessible manner to the people while working accountable to the people.” Special emphasis should be given on how we should deliver services as per the expectations of the people by systematizing the limited resources and using modern technology. ’
On the occasion, Justice Ishwor Parajuli expressed his views on making the judiciary service delivery, justice delivery and judicial system more effective.
