Kathmandu. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said the weather system will become more active from Saturday night. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there are chances of moderate to heavy rain in most places of the country due to the influence of the monsoon wind.
Meteorologist Binu Maharjan said moderate to heavy rainfall occurred at most of the places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces in the last 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, moderate to heavy rainfall has been predicted at many places of the hilly region and at some places of the mountainous and terai areas of the country till Saturday.
She warned of the possibility of landslides taking place in hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces with the possibility of heavy rainfall.
She advised the travellers to know the weather and road condition before embarking on a journey or embarking on a journey only after taking updated weather information.
