Stock market rises near 2,600 points for 3 consecutive days

Kathmandu. The stock market rose for the third consecutive day. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 7.50 points to close at 2,597.80 points today.

The sub-indices of all the sub-indices except finance, hotel and tourism, hydropower and production and processing, increased by more than 1 percent.

Shares of 120 companies rose today and 152 declined. However, shares of Dolti Power, Jeeban Bikas Laghubitta and Terhathum Power remained unchanged.

Shares of NIBL Growth Fund rose 15 per cent today. Overall, shares of Corporate Development Bank fell 8.77 percent on the day.

Today, the transaction amount has also increased along with NEPSE. A total of 9.469 million units of shares of 371 companies were traded at Rs 4.56 billion compared to Rs 4.17 billion yesterday.
