Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration has sought clarification from an employee who has been absent from the office for long.
Issuing a notice, the Ministry has initiated legal process against one employee working as Joint Secretary for being absent from office for more than 90 days.
The ministry said that despite attempts to contact him through various means, he has not been contacted and has not received any information. He has been absent from office since January 24, 2002.
According to the Ministry, the Ministry has been asked to furnish a clarification with satisfactory grounds and evidence within 15 days as action has to be taken to remove him from the government service as per the Civil Service Act, 2049.
The Ministry has intensified the study and search for employees who are absent from office, living abroad and out of contact for a long time.
