Kathmandu. Hetauda, June 17: The flooded Karra River in Hetauda Sub-metropolis-17 of Makwanpur district has swept away empty trucks.
According to the police, a 12-wheeler truck (Na 7 Kha 765) was returning from the cement factory after the water level rose in the culvert near Shivam Cement Factory at around 7.45 am on Monday.
Likewise, driver Deepak Thing, 34, of Ratnanagar municipality-13 of Chitwan was swept away by the accident. He managed to swim out on his own but suffered minor injuries in his leg, police said.
Following the incident, a police team reached the incident site and made necessary arrangements. Injured Thing has been sent to Raju Medical Center in Hetauda-Chaughada for treatment.
No human casualties have been reported in the incident, police said. Efforts are underway to remove the truck from the river.
