Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Chief Whip of the main opposition party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Khushbu Oli, has claimed that the government has not been able to present an action plan to create employment opportunities in the country.
Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives on Friday, Chief Whip Oli said it was unfortunate that the government formed with the promise of creating employment opportunities in the country has not been able to bring an action plan to do the same.
“Before the election, the ruling party had made a big promise to Nepali youths to create employment opportunities in their own country. But a hundred days after the formation of the government, not even a hundred youths have returned from abroad in the hope of employment. This is because the government has not been able to present an action plan to create employment till date. The question is not only about the number of job creations, but whether the government has awakened the feeling that one can live in Nepal or not,” she said.
He complained that the incumbent government has not been able to create an environment for the youths to stay in the country and do something.
Referring to the Ganesh Nepali death case, Chief Whip Oli said that the incumbent government has failed to inspire hope among the youths that something could be done within the country.
“Yesterday, a youth set himself on fire in front of the passport department. I wanted to put the question to the whole of the ruling party whether the young man set the country on fire because he saw the hope of doing what he wanted to do. This is my question to the Prime Minister, ministers and lawmakers of all the ruling parties. The private sector, which creates jobs, is the most disappointed today,” she said.
