Dr Devendra Khatri appointed vice-chairman of Medical Education Commission

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Dr Devendra Khatri has been appointed the Vice-Chairman of the Medical Education Commission.

Prime Minister and Commission Chair Balen Shah appointed Khatri to the post of vice-chairperson of the commission.

Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel handed over the appointment letter to the newly appointed vice-president Khatri at the Ministry today.

Earlier, the post of vice-chairperson of the commission was lying vacant and the former vice-chairperson of the commission Shree Krishna Giri was given the responsibility of acting vice-chair until further arrangement.

After the government brought an ordinance designed to make special provision for the removal of public officials, the Vice-Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Anjani Kumar Jha and other office-bearers were relieved of their posts. After that, the post of vice-chairman of the commission fell vacant.
