Kathmandu. The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Federal Affairs and General Administration has issued a public notice asking the government buildings and structures used by the erstwhile national level civil servants, trade unions and employee unions to vacate the buildings and structures within three days.
According to the notice issued by the Ministry, the concerned organizations have to completely vacate the building and other structures within three days from the date of publication of the notice and submit the documents, property responsibility and building key to the Internal Management Division of the Ministry.
According to the Ministry, the Government of Nepal through the ‘Ordinance Designed to Amend Some Nepal Acts, 2083’ published in the Nepal Gazette on May 5, 2083 has repealed the provision related to trade union of civil servants under the Civil Service Act, 2049.
The ministry has warned that necessary process would be initiated as per the existing law if the structures were not vacated within the stipulated time. According to the ministry, notices have also been pasted in the buildings of the organization in the presence of the District Administration Office.
According to the notice, the Independent Civil Service Employees Organization, Nepal Madhesi Civil Employees Forum, Nepal Civil Service Employees Union, Nepal Civil Service Employees Union, Nepal National Civil Service Employees Organization, Unified Government Employees Organization Nepal, Nepal Health Workers Association and Madhesi Health Workers Forum Nepal have to vacate the structures.
