Kathmandu. Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Kumar Thapa has expressed dissatisfaction over the incumbent government’s working style during its 100-day term.
Speaking at the ‘government’s 100 days and 100-point programme’ organized by the Nepali Congress here today, Thapa accused the incumbent government of giving more importance to ‘like’ than ‘life’ in 100 days.
He said, “The current government has decided that ‘liking’ is more important than ‘life’ in 100 days. When the government is thinking about making decisions, it does not think about what difference it will make to any person’s life. I wondered how many likes it would add. This became a matter of concern for us. ’
Thapa said that although it is important for the government to give results, it should not violate the legal process and procedure.
Stating that the Nepali Congress has supported the commission formed to investigate the property, he urged the government to work as per the laws.
“We are part of the process of submitting the details to the Property Investigation Commission. But our request to the government is that it should move ahead by following the process laid down by the law. Such decisions should not be taken on the basis of executive orders,” he said.
Thapa accused the incumbent government of moving ahead with the mindset that only results are important, not method and process.
