Kathmandu. Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Thapa has accused the incumbent government of violating the law. Speaking at a review programme organized at the party central office, Sanepa, on Monday, Thapa said the Shah-led government has started working like the then Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) government after the 2074 BS elections.
“The government is moving ahead with the intention of giving results, not the process and process,” Thapa said, adding, “We have seen this practice in the past as well. ’
He gave an example of the issue of squatters. Thapa said that although the problem of landless could be solved by enacting laws, they first demolished their houses to get applause on social media.
Thapa said that the single government of the RSP led by Shah is in trouble due to the popularity of social media rather than the life of the citizens. “This government is more concerned about the likes than the life. If the problem of the landless had been solved by making laws, there would not have been any likes on social media, so bulldozers were used in the squatters’ settlements. It was discussed on the network. ’
He praised PM Shah for ruling from Singha Durbar rather than from Baluwatar.
