Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has extended the remand of CPN-UML vice-chairman and former finance minister Bishnu Poudel by 6 days.
A division bench of Special Court members Hemanta Rawal, Dilli Ratna Shrestha and Umesh Koirala issued the order by 6 days.
Earlier, the police had remanded Poudel to custody for seven days and three days on October 22 in connection with the money laundering investigation.
A writ of habeas corpus filed by Poudel’s wife at the Supreme Court is also under consideration.
