Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Coordinator of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has pledged to forge an alliance with the CPN-UML immediately.
Addressing the party’s Koshi state-level gathering at Biratnagar of Morang today, he said that although there is no immediate unification with the UML, it would move ahead by working unity from street to parliament. He also said that discussions were underway to forge an agreement with the UML for the upcoming local and provincial level elections.
Prachanda said that the basis for forming an alternative force would be prepared only when the leftist forces come together. He claimed that the country could be led by the communist forces again.
