Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, 2,641 drivers have been found violating traffic rules. A total of Rs 22,96,508 revenue has been deposited in the state treasury through this.
According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 79 were taken for drunken driving, 147 for ride-sharing law, 154 for breaching signal lights and 122 for speeding.
Similarly, action taken for flouting lane discipline, 113 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 119 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 100 for one-way driving and 1,688 for violating other traffic rules were taken.
