Minister Mehata and Ambassador Yong hold a meeting to pay attention to the health of Nepalis in South Korea

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Minister for Health and Food Hygiene Nisha Mehta and Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal Park Tae Yong paid a courtesy call on him today.

During the meeting held at the Ministry on Tuesday, matters related to friendly relations between Nepal and the Republic of Korea and bilateral cooperation in health sector were discussed.

Particularly, the issues discussed during the meeting were health insurance programmes, capacity building of health human resources, strengthening health infrastructure, expansion of quality health services, promotion of health tourism and making collaboration in the production of herbs and medicines more effective.

On the occasion, Minister Mehta urged the Korean government to pay special attention to ensure the health safety and access of Nepali workers to health services.

In response, His Excellency the Ambassador said the ROK government was committed to provide continuous support to the government in various priority areas and expressed the belief that the collaboration between the two countries would be further strengthened and result-oriented in the days ahead.
