Kathmandu. CPN-UML lawmaker Guru Prasad Baral said that the government should make arrangement of teaching science faculties in community schools in grade 11 and 12. He said this while speaking at the budget discussion in the House of Representatives.
He said that the infrastructure built so far is not enough to reinforce science and technology. He said, “For this, the government needed to allocate adequate budget. But the current budget is very low. A budget of Rs 4 billion has been allocated. ’
He said that although the expenditure is high in general expenditure, there is not enough budget allocated for research and innovation. He pointed out the need for the government to invest in science and technology.
Stating that the development of science and technology would lay a foundation for uplifting the country’s economic status, he said that the government should pay attention to this.
