Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Rachana Khatiwada has accused the government of filing false cases against the youths who participated in the Genji movement.
Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday, she said that the present government was formed on the basis of the people’s mandate received from the blood and struggle of the martyrs and injured of the Jenji movement.
Accusing them of trying to implicate innocent youths in false cases, Khatiwada claimed that such activities have increased especially after the arrival of a new SP in Panauti area of Kavre.
She questioned that although the government had earlier promised to scrap the false cases, it has not been implemented.

“The two-thirds majority government, formed with the blood and struggle of the martyrs and injured of the Zenji movement, is now issuing arrest warrants to the youths who participated in the movement,” she said. Innocent youths are being implicated in false cases. Such activities have increased after the arrival of a new SP in Panauti of Kavre.
Although the government has promised to dismiss the false cases, it has not been implemented. This government cannot move forward without the sacrifice, struggle and support of the youth. Therefore, the false cases related to the Genji movement should be dismissed as soon as possible. ’
