Nepal Telecom has requested people to be aware of the spread of misleading sms in the name of various banks and digital payment services including Connect IPS by misusing the SMS service of Nepal Telecom. These messages may include accounts being suspended, temporarily suspended or other problems that may prompt customers to visit suspicious websites or links.

Nepal Telecom has requested the customers to be aware of such SMS, phone calls and suspicious links. The company has also requested to verify the information through the official website or mobile app of the concerned organization before using any link and keep your confidential details safe.

The company has also suggested not to click on unknown or suspicious links, not to share OTP, password, PIN, CVV and other confidential information with anyone and to use only the official channel of the concerned organization for information regarding banking and digital payments. It has also requested the concerned organizations to inform the concerned organization immediately if they receive suspicious SMS, phone calls or links.

The company has requested all customers to stay safe from such misleading activities as the security of customers is the main priority of the company.
