Kathmandu. Nepali Communist Party (NCP) lawmaker Barshaman Pun has said that Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has objected to the threat to the parliament.
Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives on Friday, he objected to the Finance Minister saying that he had threatened the parliament and committees while replying to the budget.
He said, “We had given the finance minister the benefit of the doubt on behalf of our party. We were here in Parliament at different times of hearing, at special times, some things were being raised.
The way the Finance Minister replied during the theoretical discussion during the discussion on the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and the Finance Bill yesterday, it has been a disservice to the Parliament. The committee has been devalued. There have been attempts to use intimidation and intimidation. We have serious objections to this. ’
He said that the members of the executive, parliament and committees should be accountable. He accused the Finance Minister of contempt of Parliament.
“The Finance Minister openly admitted that he changed seven tax rates. It’s an economic crime. We didn’t say we committed a crime. He is threatening, what will we do? The parliament has been contempted,” he said.
He also said that the statement made by the Prime Minister should be removed from the record of Parliament.
He said, “We have already put forth the views of the honorable Prime Minister on the issues related to national independence, border security and territorial integrity in the parliament time and again.
The Foreign Minister tried to clarify. That’s not enough. The Prime Minister should answer about this. We have been saying that the statement that Nepal has encroached on India’s land should be removed from the parliament record. The Honorable Speaker should rule on this. ’
