Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has challenged the government to prove the allegation of leaking information that the tax on electric vehicles is increasing. He said he was ready to give up public life if proven.
At a meeting of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) this morning, he termed the allegation that the tax was being increased as ‘nonsense’.
He said, “If you bring proof on this, I am ready to stand in the dock.” “They say billions of nonsense. Not just two billion, but if Swarnim Wagle misbehaves somewhere, I am not only the Finance Minister, not only the MP, but I am ready to give up my public life. That’s my challenge. ’
He also wished other lawmakers the courage to maintain this level.
