Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Chairman of Labour and Culture Party, Harka Sampang Rai, has presented a resolution proposal in the House of Representatives demanding that the party should make statement on the issues related to the nation’s sovereignty and national interest.
He presented the resolution proposal in the House of Representatives on Tuesday.
He also objected to the remarks made by Prime Minister Balendra Shah in the emergency meeting of the House of Representatives on May 30 regarding the Nepal-India border.
Rai also demanded that the PM’s remarks be removed from the record of the parliament, saying it was against the national interest.
“Prime Minister Balendra Shah, while responding to questions raised in the House of Representatives on Jestha 17, is removing the statement against the nation that Nepal has encroached on the Indian border at many places,” he said. ’
Through the resolution motion, he urged the government not to make statements against the national interest including the Prime Minister, ministers and lawmakers of the House of Representatives in the coming days.
“Prime Minister, ministers, lawmakers of the House of Representatives and lawmakers of the Government of Nepal will not be allowed to make such anti-national statement,” he said, adding, “I present a resolution motion to give a message of unity in favour of the nation rising above the party and class interest level on national sovereignty and national issues.” ’
