Kathmandu. Nepali movie ‘Lali Bazaar’, which was released on June 25, has earned a blockbuster in Gharelbazar. With a business of Rs 90 million in the domestic market, ‘Lali Bazaar’ has topped the list of films released so far in 2083 BS. The Film Development Board (FDB) has released the commercial details of Nepali movies currently being screened in theaters.
According to the data of ‘Cinepa 2 Box Office’ under the Board, ‘Lali Bazaar’ has earned Rs 8,78,05,198. Actress Swastima Khadka is in the lead role and a total of 2,98,227 tickets were sold in the movie. As of Sunday, the film has crossed the 9 crore mark in the domestic market till Tuesday.
The movie also features actors Rabindra Singh Baniya, Samaira Thapa, Mukunda Kumar Shrestha, Abhay Baral, Bishal Devkota and Prasansha Subedi. Actors Bishal Devkota and Prasansha Subedi have received praise from the audience for their debut film. He made his debut on the big screen after working in Vishal Theater for almost 9 years. After the success of his first film, he says that his hard work has paid off.
“Since it is my debut film, I am learning and experiencing everything. I can’t put into words the success I got in my first film. The success I have achieved has directed me to work more responsibly in the coming days,” he said.
In the film, he plays the role of ‘Narayan’. The audience is giving more love to Narayan because he is a character who understands the importance of the light of education.
The movie is directed by Yam Thapa and produced under the banner of Hexagonal Arts. Director Pradip Bhattarai is the executive producer and screenwriter of the movie. Produced by Max Deepash Khatri, ‘Lali Bazaar’ is edited by Mitradev Gurung and cinematography by Sushan Prajapati.
