Kathmandu. More than Rs 22.76 lakh revenue has been collected in a single day from the traffic police action in the Kathmandu Valley.
As many as 2,445 drivers were found guilty of violating traffic rules in a single day. According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 128 people were taken for drunk driving, 160 for ride-sharing, 141 for breaching signal lights and 183 for speeding.
Similarly, action was taken against 43 for flouting lane discipline, 123 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 14 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 166 for driving one-way traffic and 1,487 for not following other rules.
