Kathmandu. Speaker Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal has expressed hope for policy-level stability and a friendly environment for the private sector with the formation of the new government.

Inaugurating the Nepal Business Summit here today, Finance Minister Khatiwada said that the government should commit to maintaining policy stability so as to translate the new enthusiasm among the investors into long-term confidence.

“With the arrival of the new government, there is hope for policy stability and a friendly environment for the private sector. This will bring new enthusiasm to the investors as well as we should be able to establish the policy to turn the enthusiasm into the trust of the fort. ’

Saying that traditional working style alone was not enough to achieve the goals of current economic development, Speaker Aryal expressed the view that innovation and digitalization should be given priority now.

“Traditional style alone is not enough to achieve the current economic development goals. Innovation and digitalization should be the main priority in this,” he said.

According to him, Nepal’s next priority should be the Information Technology (IT) sector which has the potential to be the ‘game changer’ of the country’s economic transformation.

He said, “IT sector should be the priority now and IT can be a game changer for Nepal.” We are working to institutionalize this sector, build a digital business hub and build an AI-friendly legal infrastructure. ’
