UML central secretariat meeting to be held

Kathmandu. Kathmandu: The CPN-UML’s central secretariat meeting is convening on Monday.

The meeting will be held at 1:00 pm at the residence of party Chairman KP Sharma Oli at Gundu. Bhishma Adhikari informed.

The meeting, which was scheduled for May 14, has been postponed for today. The leaders have said that today’s main agenda will be focused on this as there is no division of work among the leaders after the 11th general convention. According to an office-bearer, preparations are underway to send the central members with the responsibility of the municipality level.

Each central committee member will be appointed as in-charge of the local level and directed to strengthen the party in the upcoming local level elections. Similarly, preparations are underway to distribute responsibilities among central departments and agencies.

Today’s meeting will also fix the date for the central committee meeting to review the elections held in February, the office-bearers said.

Today’s meeting will also discuss the government’s forcibly eviction of landless squatters, their management and the government’s recent activities and its negative impact on the people, the leaders said.
