Kathmandu. New Baneshwor: Nobel Academy in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, has been accused of adopting a ‘call centre style’ in the admission process.
The college has been claiming to collect the personal details of the students who have given the SEE through various means and use it without permission. It is alleged that the data was used in the admissions campaign and questioned the privacy of students.
} Similarly, there have been complaints that teachers in colleges have been involved in calling and admitting students beyond their teaching roles. Parents say that teachers are being targeted on a daily basis and pressured and this has weakened the teaching environment.
Amid the dissatisfaction of teachers and parents, it was commented that this issue has become a serious example of commercialization and violation of privacy in the education sector g.
