Kathmandu. Students and guardians of Grade 11 students of Nobel Academy in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, have raised serious questions on the academic management, facilities and administrative transparency of the college.

They have drawn the attention of the college administration saying that there is a huge gap between the assurance made in the admission process and the actual implementation. The parents have alleged that they have not been able to provide the services according to the extra fees, the strictness of the penalty system, and the amount taken under various headings.

According to the students, the necessary infrastructure, equipment, and skilled technical manpower are weak according to the fees charged for the lab and extracurricular activities (ECA).TAG_OPEN_p_8 As a result, practical learning has not been effective, they complain.

Similarly, there is a risk that the curriculum will not be completed on time due to the lack of continuity in teaching due to the frequent change of subject teachers. Parents say that the practice of imposing fines even for minor mistakes in the name of discipline and creating financial pressure has caused mental stress to the students.

Parents have also alleged that lunch is not brought from home and the food in the canteen is of poor quality. In addition, they claim that the lack of playgrounds and poor management of extracurricular activities have affected the overall development of the students.

The parents have also warned that if the concerned parties do not resolve the issue immediately, the educational reputation of the institution will be seriously affected and there is a risk of reducing the attraction of students.TAG_OPEN_p_5
