Kathmandu. Nepali Congress lawmaker Nishkal Rai has demanded that the Prime Minister be summoned to the House through a ruling.

Addressing the meeting of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, MP Rai asked why the Prime Minister did not appear in the parliament on Tuesday and Wednesday when the President was out of the House of Representatives while reading out the policies and programs.

He said it was a matter of shame that the Prime Minister was not seen in the parliament even on the day when the agenda was to answer the questions raised on the policies and programmes formulated by him.

“Mr. Speaker, it is your job to uphold the dignity of this assembly. If you can’t maintain your dignity and respect, no one can,” Rai said, adding, “You are the hero of this assembly. Therefore, call the Prime Minister by ruling and enhance the dignity of the meeting. ’
