Kathmandu. Police have arrested eight people in possession of drugs.
Police have arrested two persons in possession of 90 tablets of Tramadol and three tablets of Spaspen and Rs 5,525 in cash from Harisiddhi of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-28.
The arrested have been identified as Suman BK, 28, and Abinab Rawal, 25, both residents of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-24, Chitwan. A police team deputed from the Harisiddhi Police Sector arrested them with the drugs.
Likewise, police arrested four persons with 1 gram 270 milligrammes of brown sugar and Rs 19,350 in cash from Jaljala Ransi Hotel at New Bus Park in Ghorahi Sub-metropolis-14 on Monday night.
The arrestees have been identified as Karan Dangi (24) and Bharat Sunar (23) of Sarra in ward no. 16 of the same sub-metropolis, Bimala Budha Magar (19) of Phursekali and Debka Thapa Chhetri (21) of Pyuthan district.
A police team deployed from the Ward Police Office, Ghorahi arrested them during a search of room number 104 of the hotel.
Similarly, police arrested 34-year-old Shankar Nepali of Ghorahi sub-metropolis-15 with 60 milligrams of brown sugar from Ghorahi Bazaar on Monday evening. A police team deputed from Ward Police Office, Ghorahi arrested him with the substance.
Likewise, police arrested a 17-year-old boy from Birendranagar municipality-11 in Surkhet district on Tuesday afternoon with 1.340 grammes of brown sugar. A police team deputed from Police Post Subbakuna and Narcotics Control Bureau branch office Surkhet arrested him with the substance.
Police said further investigation is underway in this connection.
