Let’s go to Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The swearing-in ceremony of the new leadership of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has been held in Kathmandu on Saturday. The newly elected president, senior vice-president, vice-president and executive committee members took oath of office and secrecy.
Former presidents of FNCCI, industrialists and entrepreneurs, representatives of various government bodies and personalities from the private sector were present on the occasion. On the occasion, the newly-elected leadership expressed the commitment that the FNCCI would play active role in protecting the rights and interests of the private sector, creating investment-friendly environment and making the economy dynamic.
The newly-elected chairperson said he would work to resolve the problems seen in the industry and business sector, promote investment, create employment and collaborate with the government in priority. He also mentioned that the FNCCI’s role would be made more effective in expanding economic activities by enhancing the confidence of the private sector. With the election of the new leadership of the FNCCI, the voice of the private sector is expected to be raised more strongly in the coming term.
