Meteorologists at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology have predicted rain throughout the country this week. Gandaki Province will be the most affected.
There is a possibility of snowfall and rain in the Tarai, hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki Province throughout this week. There is also a possibility of heavy snowfall or rain in one or two places.
Meteorologists have predicted that it will rain again even if it stops raining for a while from time to time.
Terai Region Weather Forecast
Rainfall has been taking place in various districts since yesterday. Meteorologist at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, David Dhakal said there is a possibility of rain accompanied by lightning in different parts of the country throughout this week.
According to him, moderate rain is likely to occur in the Terai region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at many places of the Madhes Province until Tuesday. There is also the possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places of these provinces.
Dhakal said that moderate rainfall is likely to occur only in a few places in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Likewise, moderate rain is likely to occur at few places of the Tarai region of the province from Wednesday to Thursday.
Possibility of rain in hilly areas throughout this week
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, moderate rain will occur at many places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at a few places of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Likewise, moderate rain is likely to occur at some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at a few places of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces from Wednesday to Thursday.
There are chances of heavy rainfall in Gandaki Province throughout this week and in Koshi, Bagmati and Lumbini within Tuesday.

Dhakal said that there is a possibility of snowfall or rain in the mountainous region throughout this week.
Likewise, moderate snowfall or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at a few places of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces until Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
Moderate snowfall or rain is likely to occur in some places of the mountainous region from Wednesday onwards.
At present, rainfall is taking place in all the provinces except Madhes and Sudurpaschim provinces. Moderate rainfall is taking place in Lumbini and Gandaki districts even now.
Heavy rain is likely to occur at one or two places of Lumbini and Gandaki provinces towards the afternoon today.
Therefore, meteorologists have suggested to plan the work only after getting updated information about the weather.
Highest rainfall in last 24 hours in Musikot of Gulmi

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the highest rainfall occurred in Musikot of Gulmi district in the last four hours. 86 in Musikot. 6 millimeters of rain has been recorded.
Similarly, Devghat, Deurali and Dumkauli of Nawalpur and Asraghat of Achham also received heavy rainfall.
Heavy rainfall has occurred in Karki Neta of Parbat, Panchamul of Syangja, Pokhara of Kaski and Rainastar of Lamjung in the past three hours.
Kathmandu : Kapan, Kirtipur, Sundarijal and other places of Kathmandu received heavy rainfall today.
