Buddha Jayanti is celebrated every year on the full moon day of Baisakh Shukla Purnima, the ninth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, by worshiping Siddhartha Gautam.
This festival is celebrated in remembrance of the contribution of Siddhartha Gautam to the establishment of world peace. Buddha Jayanti is celebrated by the Buddhists on this day with heartfelt reverence and devotion to the Buddha as the birth, enlightenment and death of Lord Buddha falls on the full moon day of Baisakh Shukla Purnima.
