Kathmandu. President Ram Chandra Poudel has issued the Cooperatives (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2083.
The ordinance was released as per the Article 114 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, said Ritesh Kumar Shakya, spokesperson of the Office of the President.
The President has issued only one of the 6 ordinances recommended by the government.
The government had sent the ordinance to the President regarding the removal of the posts of cooperatives, constitutional council, some Nepal Acts, health science academies, universities and public officials.
President Poudel is consulting with constitution and legal experts on the ordinances.
