Kathmandu. Kathmandu. A meeting of the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the National Assembly has been held today. The meeting dwelt on issues related to the country’s overall development, economic condition and promoting good governance.
The committee had enquired with the bodies concerned about the progress of development projects, the status of budget implementation and the measures to make public service delivery effective. The members also expressed their views on maintaining financial discipline, increasing transparency and ensuring accountability.
Representatives of various ministries and stakeholders were present in the meeting and they were briefed about their performance and challenges. The committee has also given necessary directives and suggestions to resolve the problems.
The Committee has also decided to give priority to continuous monitoring and coordination towards expediting development construction works, accelerating economic activities and strengthening good governance in the coming days.
