Kathmandu. Produced by Hexagon Arts, the film ‘Lali Bazaar’ is going to be released on April 18. Producer Max Dipesh Khatri, actor Rabindra Singh Baniya and director Pradip Bhattarai among other Hexicon Arts have already produced successful films like ‘Jatra’, ‘Jatrai Jatra’, ‘Mahapurush’ and ‘Mahajatra’.
However, director Pradip Bhattarai has given the responsibility of directing Yam Thapa in the upcoming film ‘Lali Bazaar’.
The story of ‘Lali Bazaar’ is also his. Director Thapa has directed films like ‘Rajja Rani’, ‘Hurray’, ‘Meri Mamu’ and has worked on the screenplay of films like ‘Kohinoor’, ‘Anjila’ and ‘Paran’. During the discussion of the story, Hexagon Arts collaborated with director Thapa.
“Hexagon Arts was preparing to make a film on the Terai region. During the discussion, Rabindra Singh Baniya said that if he gets a good story, he will invest. I gave the issue of my mother, and we were convinced that we could work on it in a few days.
That’s how Lali Bazaar started,” Director Thapa said.
Even though he gave the story, he had not thought of directing the film. Pradeep Bhattarai was directing the film of Hexagon Arts. Director Thapa was happy that he had given his story to a good director. However, the same director Bhattarai offered to direct director Thapa.
“I gave the story and the script was also discussed. I also thought that director Bhattarai would direct it, but it was Hexagon Arts who offered me the direction. None of them talked about directing, they all worked hard to make the film good,” said Thapa.
When the script of the film was almost finalized, director Bhattarai proposed to name the film ‘Lalibazar’, to which everyone agreed. Director Thapa said that although the subject matter of the film has not been revealed, the film is based on the story of mother and daughter.
“I have made a film out of a story that I have been watching and understanding for a long time. It’s a story of a mother and daughter who belong to the community. The film depicts a part of our society. I am sure this movie will compel us to think about social issues, “said Thapa.
The first song of the film ‘Maya Ko Deu Ma Baina’ and the second song ‘Mitho Sansar’ have been liked by the audience. Both songs have become popular on YouTube, Tiktok, Reels and Shots.
The release date of the movie ‘Lalibazaar’ has been fixed on Baisakh 1, 2083 BS.
The movie features Swastima Khadka, Rabindra Singh Baniya, Samaira Thapa, Mukunda Kumar Shrestha, Abhay Baral, Prem Pandey, Pradeep Dhakal, Asha Poudel, Govinda Sunar, Abha Aryal, Tara Sharma, Ramesh Badi, Saraswati Adhikari, Janaki Kathayat, Nischal Panthi and Birbal Chaudhary.
The film also stars Bishal Devkota and Prasansha Subedi. Vishal is an actor working as an actor and director in the theater, while Prashansha Jenji is famous as an actor.
