Kathmandu. Police have arrested 13 people in possession of banned drugs.
Police have arrested 27-year-old Pritam Maharjan of Basantapur of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-19 in possession of 560 tablets of banned pharmaceutical drugs from Teku Brahmatol of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-12 on Wednesday evening. A police team deputed from Police Circle, Kalimati arrested him with the banned drugs.
Police have arrested two persons with 1,610 tablets of Tramadol and 1,609 tablets of Spanish controlled drugs from the road at Kalindra Community Forest in Baraha Kshetra Municipality-3 of Sunsari last night.
The arrestees have been identified as Raj Rai, 27, and Khuse Rai, 27, both residents of Chaudandigadhi Municipality-6 in Udayapur. A police team deputed from temporary police post Nadaha arrested them after finding them riding a motorcycle (Sa 10 Pa 4510) en route to Udayapur from Pakali.
Likewise, Sanjib Lopchan, 24, of Bagmati Rural Municipality-7 was arrested with 30 tablets of Tramadol from Nyureni of Hetauda Sub-metropolis-10 in Makwanpur district on Wednesday evening. A police team deputed from the District Police Office, Makawanpur arrested him with the banned drugs.
BANKE: Police have arrested two persons in possession of 30 milligrammes of brown sugar from Khajura rural municipality-2 in Banke district on Wednesday night. The arrested have been identified as 21-year-old Prabesh Shahi alias Shahil and 35-year-old Bhim Bahadur Thapa. A police team deputed from Radhapur Police Post arrested them with the substance.
Likewise, police have arrested two persons in possession of Tramadol 267 tablets from Krishna Galli of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-3 on Wednesday night. The arrestees have been identified as Siddhartha Bhujel, 20, of Chitwan and Bishal Darji, 20, of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-9, Chyasal, Gorkha. A police team deputed from the Police Sector, Pulchowk arrested them in possession of the drugs.
Police have arrested 26-year-old Bishal Chand of Baitadi living in a rented room at Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis-1, LN Chowk in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-1 last night with 110 milligrams of brown sugar from Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-8 of Kailali. A police team from the District Police Office, Kailali arrested him with the substance.
Police have arrested 27-year-old Amrit Gurung of Bhanu municipality-7 in possession of 58 tablets of banned pharmaceutical drug from Benitar of Abukhaireni rural municipality-4 in Tanahun district on Wednesday afternoon. A police team deputed from Temporary Police Post Mugling, Puljeep arrested him after finding him travelling in a micro bus (Ba 2 Kha 1438) en route to Lamjung from Kathmandu.
Likewise, police arrested 31-year-old Sayal Thapa Magar of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26 with 20 grams 550 milligrams of heroin from Biratnagar Metropolitan City-15 in Morang district on Wednesday afternoon.
A team of police from Area Police Office, Rani and Narcotics Control Bureau branch office, Biratnagar arrested him while he was coming to Nepal on foot from India.
Police have arrested two persons in possession of 145 milligrams of brown sugar from Shivaraj Municipality-6, Birpur in Kapilvastu district this morning. The arrestees have been identified as Shahil Khan, 20, of Shivaraj Municipality-5 and Bhima Sunar, 19, of Madawa.
A team of police deployed from Ward Police Office, Chandrauta and Police Post Birpur arrested them while they were heading towards Chandrauta from Krishnanagar.
Police said further investigation is underway in this connection.
