Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP)’s Saraswati Lama has filed her candidacy for the post of Deputy Speaker. He is a proportional representation member of the RPP.

Leaders have said that the RSP is likely to support him.

As the Speaker of the House of Representatives is from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), a person from a different party and gender is needed as per the constitutional provision.

Therefore, the leaders of the RPP were holding talks with the RSP after the RSP indicated that it would not support the other big parties represented in the parliament.

Earlier, RSP President Rabi Lamichhane and RPP Parliamentary Party leader Gyanendra Bahadur Shahi had held talks. “We talked about it today. The RSP has indicated its support,” a top RPP leader said. ’

The Labour and Culture Party, which has entered the parliament for the first time, is also preparing to register its candidacy for the post of Deputy Speaker. Ideologically, the parliament is already raising strong questions against the RSP.

Therefore, there is a possibility that the RPP will support the RPP rather than the labor culture.
