Kathmandu. The new office hours of 9 am to 5 pm have come into effect in government offices across the country from today. According to the new time, employees have to be present at the office at the stipulated time.
With the implementation of the new work schedule, the movement of employees and service recipients has been seen since 8 am in the major government agencies including Singha Durbar. The government has implemented this decision with the objective of making time management effective.
According to government officials, the new time is expected to improve service delivery and the service recipients are also expected to get service on time. In addition, the monitoring will also be tightened to maintain office discipline. This change is expected to make day-to-day administrative work more systematic and result-oriented.
