Kathmandu. Newly appointed Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dol Prasad Aryal (DP) has assumed office. He took the oath of office and secrecy on Sunday.
Talking to media persons after assuming office, he said that the people are the strong opposition this time.
Stating that even if there is only one member of the opposition, he said that he understood that the House should be of the opposition.
He said, “The strong opposition this time is the people.
This year’s election of 2082 is a special election. This is different from many elections in the past and future elections. The current parliament comes from a mandate. As I am sitting as the Speaker, I feel that the people are the strongest opposition this time. Even if there is only one in the opposition, it is the opposition. They will be strong. I understand that the House should be the opposition. ’
He pledged to move forward to improve the policies and regulations. He also promised that even if only one person from the opposition has shown interest, they will be respected and the issues raised by them will be presented well.
“The government makes the rules and regulations better. The House of Representatives and our job is to make laws. That’s why we’re going to make laws. Even if only one person from the opposition does not pay attention, I will be very good on how to respect them and raise the issue. ’
