Kathmandu. Locals have been agitated after the Pokhara Metropolitan City used bulldozers in temporary tents around Fewa Lake. The affected locals have protested after the metropolis started removing the huts as part of the encroachment drive. They protested against the use of bulldozers and drew the attention of the administration.
The agitating locals have submitted a memorandum to the Chief District Officer (CDO) and the mayor of the metropolis objecting to the removal of the project without any alternative arrangement. They have demanded an immediate halt to the forced removal without proper rehabilitation. In this regard, the metropolis has said that a campaign has been launched for the protection of Fewa Lake area and control of encroachment.
