Kathmandu. Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and Rastriya Swatantra Party lawmaker Sobita Gautam has said that the parliament should rise above the boundaries of ruling and opposition parties this time.

Speaking in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Sunday as a supporter of Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal, she was of the view that it was necessary to make the parliament more mature by combining the parliamentarians with new energy and senior parliamentarians with long experience.

“This time, the parliament must rise above the boundaries of ruling and opposition parties,” she said. This parliament must focus on the people’s issues. It must be solution-oriented and clearly result-oriented.

Members of parliament with new energy and senior parliamentarians with long experience are also present.

Together, we will have to work towards making this parliament more mature. ’

Likewise, she said that if the debate was limited only to debates, people’s confidence would weaken.

“Democracy cannot be brought only by speeches and debates.

The results of our debates also give a message of whether it is meaningful or not. Therefore, a healthy debate is necessary. But if the debate is limited only to debate, then the trust of the people will weaken. Therefore, this debate should be meaningful, responsive and result-oriented,” she said.
