Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — Vice-president of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSS) Dol Prasad Aryal has been elected the Speaker of the House of Representatives today.

Aryal will be formally announced as the Speaker of the House of Representatives in the House of Representatives meeting to be held at 11:00 am at the Federal Parliament Building, Singha Durbar.

Aryal was elected unopposed to the post of Speaker on Friday. Rabi Lamichhane proposed his candidacy while lawmakers Swarnim Wagle, Sobita Gautam and Sunil Lamsal seconded it.
