Kathmandu. The meeting of both houses of the Federal Parliament is taking place today.
KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) will take place at the multipurpose hall of the under-construction Federal Parliament Building at Singha Durbar at 11:00 am today.
The meeting is also scheduled to present a proposal seeking the election of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Vice-President Dol Prasad Aryal to the post of Speaker.
Aryal was elected unopposed to the post of Speaker on Friday. The meeting is likely to present a proposal to elect the Speaker.
Similarly, a meeting of the National Assembly will also be held. The meeting will be held at 12:15 pm at Singha Durbar.
The Speaker will nominate and change the names of the thematic committee members in the meeting. Prime Minister Balen Shah is scheduled to present the annual report of the Commission for Women for the fiscal year 2081/82 BS in the meeting.
