Committee formed to write budget for next fiscal year

Kathmandu. The government has started the formal process for the preparation of the budget for the fiscal year 2083/84.

The Ministry of Finance has formed a budget writing committee for the preparation of the budget. The committee has been formed under the coordination of Chief of the Revenue Management Division, Uttar Kumar Khatri, with the main responsibility of preparing the draft of the budget statement for the coming fiscal year and determining the principles and priorities of the budget. Heads of various departments of the Ministry of Finance have been elected as members of the committee.

The members of the committee are Chief of the Budget and Programs Division, Dr. Suman Dahal, Chief of International Economic Relations Division Dhaniram Sharma, Chief of Economic Policy Analysis Division Mahesh Bhattarai and Chief of Financial Federalism Coordination Division Sevantak Pokharel have been appointed as members of the committee.

This committee will mainly provide suggestions for the annual policy and program for the coming fiscal year and facilitate the prioritization of the projects and programs to be implemented.

The same team will also be responsible for drafting the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill to be presented in both houses of the Federal Parliament. Finance Minister Dr. The committee has also been assigned the responsibility of preparing and presenting the final draft of the budget statement to be presented by Swarnim Wagle in the parliament.
