Kathmandu. Sagar Lamsal, who is studying in the US, has been expelled from the film ‘Panch Pandava’ after she accused him of raping her on social media.

Issuing a press release on Tuesday (April 20), the production company Kalirani Films Pvt. Ltd. has decided to remove Lamsal from the film on moral grounds and re-shoot him with another actor.

According to the press release, the movie was being shot in and around Jhapa since March 2. The controversy came to light when 90 percent of Sagar Lamsal’s scenes have been shot. The production team has made it clear that they will not include any scenes involved in the film and will reshoot all those scenes.

According to the film’s presenter Nabin Shrestha, removing the actors who have completed 90 percent of the work will cause a huge financial loss to the film. However, the company believes that the financial loss is minor before the victim’s suffering.

“Anyone who has been accused of a heinous crime cannot be a member of our film. Sagar Lamsal’s contract with Sagar Lamsal has been terminated from today in view of the risk of affecting the justice process by giving shelter to the accused in the film based on a sacred name and theme like Pandavas. ’

The construction team has demanded an investigation into the incident and demanded that the victims get justice as soon as possible. Presenter Shrestha said that it would not be appropriate to keep Lamsal in the film as he has been morally disputed even though the process of taking the legal route is in his place.

The movie features Hari Bansha Acharya, Jitu Nepal, Aryan Sigdel, Deepa Shree Niraula, Mahesh Tripathi and others. The production team has not revealed which artist will be signed in place of Lamsal.
