Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal and the Federation of Local Level Rural Municipalities and Municipalities held important discussions on various contemporary issues.
On Friday, the ministry held in-depth discussions on staff management, waste management, clarity on work division and reduction of grants. The representatives of the local levels presented the real problems being faced and the solutions to the problems.
On the occasion, Chairperson of the municipality Bhim Dhungana informed about the challenges seen at the local level and stressed the active role of the federal government to address them. Likewise, the chairpersons of the rural municipality drew the attention of the landless squatters on the issues of land management and distribution of land ownership certificates.
Deputy Mayor of Mahalaxmi Municipality underscored the need to bring a policy to transfer the Chief Administrative Officer and Account Head at the local level compulsorily within two years.
Minister Rawal said that the Ministry was ready to work together with the local levels. She said the government was committed to providing service to the satisfaction of the citizens and prioritized the people’s expectation through the local government.
On the occasion, the local level officials thanked the Ministry for their support by deploying the employees.
