Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Main opposition Nepali Congress leader Bhishma Raj Aangdembe has said that the government should resolve to prevent recurrence of violent struggle.

Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, he urged the government to make a common commitment that no one would have to shed blood again in the days to come.

Recalling the movements and sacrifices of different periods in the journey of nation building, he stressed the need of instilling new hope and confidence among the people. He said that although they have different views and beliefs, they all stand in the same place.

Leader Angdembe urged all to rise above partisan differences and be honest towards the nation. He said that it was necessary to break the narrative that nothing happened in the last 35 years. He claimed that the country developed even during the adverse times including 10 years of people’s war, earthquake and corona. He informed about the work done and said that a lot of work needs to be done.

“We are in the same place with different beliefs and thoughts, but we are in the same boat,” he said. We all rise together, all rise together, the parties may be different, the country is the same. So let’s resolve to sweat the sweat of honesty today, and let’s resolve that no one ever has to shed blood again. ’

“The parliamentary system is the best system,” he said. He also said that the forces that attacked the parliamentary system are now with decency in the parliament. He said that the Congress believes in the novelty of continuity. He said the Nepali Congress was committed to bringing the Genji rebellion to a conclusion. He said the NC was ready to change with time.
